✦ The short version
We collect your birth details to calculate your chart, and your contact details to reach you about the launch. We don't sell your data, we don't share it for advertising, and you can ask us to delete everything at any time.
1. Who we are
Cosmic Take ("we", "us") operates the Cosmic Take mobile application and the website you're reading now. For the purposes of applicable data-protection law - including India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) - Cosmic Take is the data fiduciary for the personal data described in this policy.
2. What we collect
We collect only what the product needs:
- Birth details - date, time, and place of birth. Used solely to calculate your kundli, dashas, and readings. Providing an exact birth time is optional.
- Contact details - name, email address, and (optionally) phone number, collected when you join the launch list or create an account. Your phone number is used only for launch and service messages you've opted into (including on WhatsApp).
- Device and usage data - device type, operating system, app version, crash logs, and anonymised usage events, used to keep the app working well.
3. How we use your data
- To calculate your chart and generate your readings.
- To notify you about the mobile launch, if you asked us to.
- To provide support and respond when you write to us.
- To fix bugs, improve reliability, and understand which features matter.
We do not sell your personal data, use your birth details for advertising, or build advertising profiles from your chart.
4. Sharing
We share data only with service providers who help us run Cosmic Take - cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, and messaging delivery (for example, the WhatsApp Business Platform for launch messages). Each provider is bound by contract to use your data only on our instructions. We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
5. Retention
We keep your data while your account is active or while you remain on the launch list. If you delete your account or unsubscribe, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where the law requires us to keep specific records longer.
6. Your rights
Wherever you live, you can:
- Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct anything that's inaccurate.
- Delete your account and data ("right to erasure").
- Withdraw consent for messages at any time - every message includes a way out.
Users in India have these rights under the DPDP Act, 2023; users in the EEA/UK under the GDPR; and users in other regions under their local law. To exercise any right, email cosmictake@gmail.com.
7. Children
Cosmic Take is not directed at children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, write to us and we'll delete it.
8. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access inside our team is limited to people who need it to operate the service, and we review those permissions regularly.
